Terms of Service for SubMemory

By downloading and using SubMemory, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

1. Description of Service

SubMemory is a paid mobile application that helps you track, manage, and discover subscriptions. The app provides tools for monitoring subscription spending, detecting forgotten subscriptions, and providing cancellation guidance.

2. Payment

SubMemory is a paid app on the Apple App Store. Payment is processed through Apple's App Store at the time of download. All billing and refunds are managed through your Apple ID account settings. We do not have access to your Apple payment information. There are no in-app purchases or recurring charges.

3. Subscription Detection Features

SubMemory offers the following methods to detect and import subscriptions:

• Manual Entry: You can manually add subscriptions with name, amount, billing cycle, and category.
• SMS Scanning: The app can scan transaction-related SMS messages on your device to detect recurring payments. This feature processes SMS data entirely on your device and does not send any data to external servers.
• Screenshot OCR Import: The app can analyze bank or payment screenshots using on-device OCR (Apple Vision framework) to detect subscription information. Selected images are processed locally and never uploaded.

4. User Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of subscription data you manually enter
• You are responsible for actually canceling subscriptions with service providers — SubMemory provides guidance but does not cancel subscriptions on your behalf
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and Apple ID
• You understand that SMS scanning and OCR detection may not identify all subscriptions and may occasionally produce inaccurate results

5. Data and Privacy

All your data is stored locally on your device. SubMemory does not use cloud sync, bank connection services, or any third-party data collection. Your use of SubMemory is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

6. Limitations of Liability

SubMemory provides subscription tracking and cancellation guidance for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee:

• That all subscriptions will be detected through SMS scanning or screenshot import
• That detected amounts or billing cycles will be 100% accurate
• That cancellation instructions will be accurate or up-to-date
• That price change notifications will be timely
• Specific savings amounts

SubMemory shall not be liable for any financial decisions made based on the information provided by the app.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, design, and functionality of SubMemory are owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the app.

8. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the app after modifications constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
